Columbus Stairlift Companies Guide

Stairlift Quote FAQ: How Our $50 Quote Service Works

How our Columbus stairlift quote service works: what the $50 pays for, what installers see, which areas we cover and how refunds work. For prices, see our Columbus stair lift cost guide.

Why pay $50 to get my quotes?

Because one quote can’t tell you whether a price is fair, and a free quote site can cost you your privacy. Many of those sites forward your name, phone number and email to a handful of dealers, and the sales calls and home-visit requests begin within minutes.

The $50 gets you the opposite. We ask stairlift companies that serve your part of Central Ohio to price your stairs, and they know they’re up against each other. They work from your stair details and photos and never receive your last name, phone number or email. You get their prices by email and compare them whenever you like.

If we can’t bring back at least 3 quotes, we refund the whole $50.

How do several quotes protect me from paying too much?

We’ve seen some national stairlift brands ask $7,000 or more for a straight stairlift, the kind of job Columbus-area companies often price well below that. If that was the only call you made, the high number would look like the going rate. Lining up several quotes for your own stairs shows you the real range in Central Ohio, so you’ll recognize a fair price when you see one. Our Columbus stair lift cost guide lists published local price ranges, with sources.

Why does being compared push companies toward a better price?

That’s how competition works. Every company we contact knows the homeowner is collecting several quotes and will read them together. A company that opens high risks being passed over without a second chance, so it has every reason to send a competitive number up front.

What will my quote email show?

Your quotes arrive together in one email, laid out next to each other so you can compare them line by line:

  • Each company’s Google rating and review count, with a quick summary of its reviews
  • The price quoted for your stairs
  • Which brand and model they’re offering
  • Notable features
  • What the warranty covers
  • How soon they can install

Your quote number is included, so if one stands out you can call that company and pick up where the quote left off. No company will call, text or email you first.

Is $50 worth it when quotes can be free?

Look at it as cheap protection on an expensive purchase. Choosing a stairlift without comparing could mean overpaying by thousands, and $50 is a small price for knowing where you stand. You also skip the sales calls, and you’re covered by our guarantee: 3 or more quotes, or your money back.

What does the $50 include?

One flat fee covers the whole job. We review your request, contact stairlift companies that serve your address with your stair details and photos, collect their quotes and email them to you, up to 5 quotes, with your quote number. Each quote includes the brand of stairlift, its features, warranty information, the installation timeframe and a brochure.

What if you can’t get me at least 3 quotes?

You get a full $50 refund. That’s our guarantee: at least 3 installer quotes, or your money back.

Will installers call me or come to my home?

No. Installers never get your phone number or email, so they can’t call, text or email you. No one comes to your home unless you invite them. When you’re ready, you call the company you like and give them your quote number.

What information do installers get about me?

Only what they need to price the job: your city and ZIP, your stair details and photos, and the rider details that affect fit (such as weight, height and mobility). Your last name, phone number and email stay with us. We don’t sell your personal information.

Why do you need photos of my stairs?

Photos let installers price your stairlift without a sales visit. We ask for four: the bottom landing, the top landing, the narrowest point and the nearest electrical outlet. A short video walking the stairs is optional and helps with curved stairs.

What areas do you serve?

Columbus and Central Ohio, including Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, Madison and Union counties and nearby areas. We send your request only to stairlift companies that serve your address. If we can’t get at least 3 quotes for your home, you get a full refund.

Can I buy directly from the installer I choose?

Yes. Call the installer you like, give them your quote number and tell them the price you were quoted. You buy directly from them. We don’t sell, install or service stairlifts. Quotes are estimates; a site visit is required for a firm price.

Can I just use the installer directory instead?

Yes. The Columbus installer directory is free to browse, with each company’s location, services and Google rating, and you can contact any of them yourself. The $50 quote service is for when you’d rather have us collect the prices so installers never get your phone number.

How does payment work? How do refunds work?

The review step of the form shows the $50 fee and our guarantee before you pay anything. You then pay on a secure payment page run by our payment provider, Zoho Payments; we never see or store your full card number. If we can’t get you at least 3 quotes, we refund the full $50. You can also ask for a refund before we start contacting installers: email info@columbusstairliftcompanies.com with your quote number.
